The Black Crowes - Amorica
I was a late bloomer to The Black Crowes, but I've since fallen under their spell, and I'm very happy to be able to find an uncensored image of this classic cover. I remember the infuriation of the conservative side, and yeah, the pubes sticking out is certainly pushing the boundaries, but I also love the side commentary that sex makes America go 'round. Then there's the pervert in me, which I'll just keep the wanton thoughts to myself, since chances are, many of you have something similar lurking or swelling inside of you.

I remember they started selling this CD in sleeves so you couldn't see the cover.
I'm generally not fond of sexy album covers, because they're usually blatantly lewd rather than creative. However, this one shows that less is more. It's definitely one of the sexiest covers ever.
I like it because it's subtle enough that it works.
For some inexplicable reason, this cover has never done much for me. If only there were a slice of cherry pie falling from the heavens to help me understand.
I love the Black Crowes too but I don't like this album cover. Its not a feminist statement on my part, I actually enjoy sensual art and photography, but this does nothing for me.
(Out of curiosity, would you this cover have the same appeal to you if that was a male on the cover instead of a female?)
I think I could appreciate it as much if it were a male, but it wouldn't have the same effect on me.
I don't really see the pushing of the boundary here ... or, more accurately, I don't recognize the boundary. Why are pubic hairs so taboo .. don't we all have them??

Holy cow, you learn something new every day. If this guy is correct, this was originally a cover for Hustler magazine in 1975.
Wow, it wouldn't surprise me if that appeared on Hustler, though that was more a lowbrow skin mag than a classy erotic mag.
David, I think you may have found the only way to truly validate this as art, lol...
Layla, I know I'm a bit too hetero to entertain your proposal thoroughly, though I'm secure enough to accept nude males in an artistic sense
