Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts

Okay, so I'm sure the technique of superimposing photos atop each other is nothing new or innovative in our technologically-advanced society, but I adore this cover because of the sense of lost love at stake here. I think it's absolutely beautiful, if a bit haunting, and most certainly erotic. Of course, I love this album as well.

I've never heard the album, but based on the cover, I thought it was about five or so years earlier than it's 2003 release. Something about it reminds me more of the last days of 90s alt rock.

I sort of like it, but how come the guy looks kind of scrawny and the women looks pretty hot?

It's particularly interesting, given how androgyny plays in the image of Brian Molko. I like this because it can be interpreted on different levels. There's the lost love interpretation, then there's also a question of gender identity. I don't know this album at all (Placebo kind of bores me, and Molko sounds like an alt-rock Geddy Lee), but it's a good cover.

Sometimes I've felt like women I've been with are like that ...

Bob - Placebo would def. be categorized alt rock, though this one's more recent; it was one of those "what's that?" moments when I heard it at a record store.

Mark - I guess not only neanderthal wife beaters get the hotties

Chuck - I like your broader view of the cover, since good art can be interpreted many ways

David - You caught me off-guard on that and I laughed my ass off!

Layla - I couldn't agree more!
